AUCKLAND: 4 DAYS/3 NIGHTS
DAY 1: ARRIVE AUCKLAND
On arrival, depart on a private half-day city sightseeing tour of Auckland. Highlights include Queen Street; the panoramic views of the city and surrounding harbors from Mt Eden, the pretty bays of the Waterfront Drive and vibrant Mission Bay.

DAY 2 WILDERNESS EXPERIENCE (B)

Morning at leisure to explore the ‘City of Sails’. Perhaps visit the SkyTower, for panoramic views of the city, Manukau and Waitemata Harbours and the Hauraki Gulf.
This afternoon join a small group wilderness experience to the West Coast. Discover lush rainforest, rich with New Zealand’s famous Kauri trees, feel the power of the wild rugged black sand beaches and unwind by a cascading waterfall.
DAY 3 WAIHEKE ISLAND (BL)

Depart Auckland for a 35-minute cruise across the picturesque Hauraki Gulf to Waiheke Island. The island is known for its beautiful beaches, boutique wineries and artisans. Here join a small group tour to sample some of the best vineyards Waiheke has to offer with visits to wineries such as Mudbrick, Stonyridge and Peninsula Estate. At each vineyard receive two tastings and enjoy the stunning views with a tour through each vineyard. The tour also includes a 45-minute break at pretty Oneroa Village where you have the opportunity to have lunch (own expenses), walk to the beach or visit the quaint art galleries and shops. Later return to the city by ferry.
DAY 4 DEPART AUCKLAND (B)

ROTORUA: 3 DAYS/2 NIGHTS
DAY 1 ARRIVE ROTORUA
Upon arrival to Rotorua, private transfer to hotel, unless you arrive by car.
Today visit the famous Polynesian Spa to soak in the naturally heated mineral waters. The Lake Spa Retreat offers unique and exclusive bathing in four hot mineral rock pools with lovely views over Lake Rotorua.
This evening visit a Maori Village for a cultural experience and Hangi dinner. Experience the warmth of the Maori people during an evening of ceremonial rituals, powerful cultural performance, storytelling & hangi feasting. Enter the pre-European Maori village and enter their ancestral Meeting House to relax as the family entertains before dining on the traditional Maori feast cooked in a traditional earth oven. Return coach transfers included.

DAY 2 ROTORUA SIGHTSEEING (B)

Today enjoy a small group full day cultural and heritage tour. Walk through historical Ohinemutu Maori Village and visit St Faiths Church. Discover why Maori and later Europeans were attracted to the warm healing waters of a unique thermal area. Learn of the area's volcanic past including the 1886 Mount Tarawera eruption and the rich Maori and local history. Admire a picturesque waterfall amidst the rainforest and learn of the river's importance to local Maori people. Stunning panoramas of Lake and Mount Tarawera and the Blue and Green Lakes provide an idyllic setting for lunch. See the destructive forces of the Mount Tarawera eruption first-hand at Te Wairoa - Rotorua’s Buried Village and stroll through the excavated site. Experience the culture of the Maori people and the amazing geothermal activity at the NZ Maori Arts and Crafts Institute and Te Puia, Whakarewarewa Thermal Reserve.

WELLINGTON: 3 DAYS/2 NIGHTS (br> DAY 1 ARRIVE WELLINGTON
Private transfer to your hotel on arrival, unless you arrive by car.,br> This afternoon, a small group afternoon sightseeing tour of Wellington, New Zealand’s capital city. Highlights include Courtenay Place, the entertainment hub of Wellington, Oriental Bay, spectacular views from Mount Victoria, the South Coast including the surf beach of Lyall Bay and Lambton Quay. Here board the Cable Car for a ride to the upper terminus for spectacular views before heading past historic villas and Old St Pauls Cathedral, concluding the tour with a visit to New Zealand's Parliament grounds.

DAY 2 LORD OR THE RINGS TOUR (B)
Today's tour is to Lord of the Rings film locations with a small group and guide. Visit filming locations for Rivendell, the Anduin River, the Gardens of Isengard, the site of the Orcs felling the trees and where Gandalf rode to see Saruman. Also to Mount Victoria lookout and Hobbiton Woods, Buckland Forest and the quarry used for filming Helms Deep, the fortified ravine in Rohan and Minas Tirith. Enjoy an al fresco lunch at one of the region's leading restaurants. You will be spellbound at the site of Lothlorien - the majestic Fernside Lodge. Fernside remains a magical place and a must do for the most avid Lord of the Rings fans. The our also visits the district of Miramar, the production centre and the home of Peter Jackson and many of the cast and crew. You will also visit the Weta Cave for unique souvenirs and an exclusive video of behind-the-scenes at Weta Workshop. Weta Cave screens the first ever behind the scenes look at Weta and an insight into the creativity that goes into crafting the art that is Weta. At the specially built Weta Cave theatrette see interviews with co-founders Peter Jackson, Richard Taylor, Tania Rodger and Jamie Selkirk.

DAY 2 ABEL TASMAN NATIONAL PARK (B)

This morning you will be transferred to Kaiteriteri for a day trip to Abel Tasman National Park. Depart Kaiteriteri by boat and cruise along the scenic shores around golden sandy beaches with turquoise water to Bark Bay. From here enjoy a self guided walk through the regenerating native bush to Anchorage via Torrent Bay and Cleopatra’s Pool (approx 3.5 – 4 hour walk) to re-join the launch and cruise back to Kaiteriteri before transferring back to Nelson. Packed lunch included.

CHRISTCHURCH TO QUEENSTOWN VIA W.COAST GLACIERS: 3 DAYS/2 NIGHTS DAY 1 ARRIVE CHRISTCHURCH

This afternoon, board a classic 1960s London open-top double decker bus for a 1 hour informative tour of the city. Learn about Christchurch’s fascinating history from pioneering days through to modern times and how Christchurch is recovering from the devastating 2011 earthquakes. Highlights of the tour include Cashel St ReStart Shipping Container Mall, Christchurch Cathedral and the new Cardboard Cathedral, Art Deco New Regent Street, Christchurch Art Gallery and Hagley Park.

DAY 2 CHRISTCHURCH TO FOX GLACIER (B)

Depart Christchurch on the Tranz Alpine train for a scenic rail journey through the Southern Alps to the West Coast. Travel over gorges on viaducts that were an engineering feat of their time. After a short stop at Arthur’s Pass. continue through the 8 km Otira Tunnel to the gold and coal mining town of Greymouth. Join a coach to travel down the coastline with the Tasman Sea to the west and the Southern Alps rising in the east to the village of Franz Josef to the settlement of Fox Glacier.

DAY 3 GLACIER HELI FLIGHT & TO QUEENSTOWN (B)

This morning, fly over two of New Zealand's most famous glaciers and land at the head of either the Franz Josef Glacier or Fox Glacier. View the incredible natural phenomenon of the glacier as it winds slowly down the carved valleys from its origin in the mountains high above you.
Continue south to Queenstown arriving in the late afternoon. Accommodation: Queenstown, 1 night
DAY 4 QUEENSTOWN (B)

QUEENSTOWN: 5 DAYS/4 NIGHTS
DAY 1 ARRIVE QUEENSTOWN
On arrival, you will be transferred to your accommodation.
This afternoon enjoy a sightseeing tour of Queenstown which includes a visit to historic Arrowtown a pretty village which now rests under shady trees but was once a rip roaring gold rush town, views of Lake Hayes and the rugged Shotover River. Ride the aerial gondola to Bob’s Peak to see the stunning panoramic views of Queenstown, Lake Wakatipu and the Remarkables mountain range. Also drive out to the Kawarau Bridge to see the dare-devils bungy jumping from the original AJ Hackett site.

DAY 2 QUEENSTOWN (BD)

This morning, a jetboat ride on crystal clear water in a wild and picturesque landscape, amidst the towering peaks, glaciers and ancient forests of Mt. Aspiring National Park. Learn about the flora and fauna, history, and geology of this World Heritage Area from experienced guides. Includes return transfers, returning early afternoon.
Tonight, a cruise across Lake Wakatipu in the 100 year old steamship, the TSS Earnslaw, to Walter Peak High Country Farm, one of the first farms set up in the region. Relax in the unique ambience of the Colonel’s Homestead Restaurant for a gourmet barbecue dinner. After dinner, an entertaining and informative demonstration with sheep and sheep dogs gives you a glimpse of life in the high country. On the cruise home, enjoy the camaraderie of a singalong with the ship’s pianist or enjoy the night air on the deck.
DAY 3 DOUBTFUL SOUND (BL)
Breakfast in hotel (br> Depart Queenstown early and drive through rolling countryside to Pearl Harbour at Manapouri. From here cruise across picturesque Lake Manapouri to West Arm, then travel by coach over Wilmot Pass through dense rainforest and spectacular scenery. Once at Deep Cove at Doubtful Sound, board a catamaran for a three-hour cruise of this remote and pristine fiord. Wonder at the magnificent surroundings of rainforest and towering mountains with cascading waterfalls and watch for the resident pod of bottlenose dolphins and the fur seals which like to bask on the rocks. On the return journey, the vessel’s engines are turned off to experience ‘the Sound of Silence’. A boxed picnic lunch is included.
DAY 4 CENTRAL OTAGO WINE TASTING (BL)
Today a small group gourmet wine tour of Central Otago which is attracting the attention of wine lovers the world over. The area is of poor, schisty soils and known for its harsh winters and long warm summer days. These conditions are ideal for growing some of the world's best grape varieties. The gourmet tour is a food and wine lovers' gastronomic delight, showcasing the region's award winning wines and fine cuisine. Your tour includes a wine cave tour at Gibbston Valley Winery with wine-tasting plus visits to four other vineyards in the Gibbston Valley, Cromwell and Bannockburn region. A platter-style lunch is included at a vineyard.
